Look out DC Jammers, Ifill is coming!
The name Andrew Ifill has been echoing across the local basketball circuit ever since the Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) announced that it will be hosting the Godwin McPherson Goodwill Series, from August 18-24 at the Cliff Anderson Sports hall. The main feature of the tournament will see Guyana’s male basketball team coming up against the Washington DC Jammers – a touring team comprising mostly of Guyanese. Also, the South Carolina Lady All-Stars will be making their second visit to Guyana to take on the local ladies on their charity drive to spread their knowledge of basketball and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. All of ladies on the side are standouts in the US collegiate level with some having professional exposure in the US and further afield.

Wildfire Entertainment launches Summer International Basketball Series
The Summer International Basketball Series which is scheduled to jump off on August 19 was officially launched yesterday by coordinators of the event, Wildfire Entertainment (WE), in the boardroom of M. Beepat and Sons on Regent Street. The launching of the upcoming Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) organized series was attended by Chief Executive Officer of WE, Jonathan Beepat, Vice President of the GABF Michael Burnett and event managers Vijay Panday and Warren Williams.

GABF partners with Wildfire for Goodwill Basketball Series
The Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation ( GABF) in collaboration with the Wildfire Entertainment promotional group officially launched the Godwin McPherson Goodwill Basketball Series, at a press briefing yesterday. The series is slated for August 18- 25. The Goodwill Series will see the DC Jammers and the South Carolina (SC) Ladies .....
