Stanislaus Hadman 1981 Caricom c/ship statistics unmatched by a Guyanese

After his 1976 exhibition in Suriname with the Guyana under-18 Inter Guiana games team it was no surprise when Cuban Coach George Nelson and Raven’s Icon, Hewley Henry introduced 19 year old Stanislaus (KNOX) Hadmon  for his International Debut against the touring Canadians, Montreal YMCA, June 1978 at the National Sports Hall. In the series opener, the land of the mighty Kaieteur Falls won 78 to 76 points, Canada Olympic Star Joe Farroba warmed up with 32 points.In Game two Guyana led by 6 foot 10 inches Compton Hinds’ 25 points wrapped up the series 99 to 90. For Montreal YMCA, Joe Farroba scored a Sports Hall record 42 points.

GABF saddened by the passing of ‘Knox’ Hadman
The Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) has expressed condolences to the family and friends of the late Stanislaus ‘Knox’ Hadman, a former national basketball player, who had his last shot against cancer early Monday morning. ‘Knox’, who this newspapers also remembers as an avid sport enthusiasts led a quiet and humble life until his death. If one had not known ‘Knox’ had represented this country at the highest level then it would remain that way on his favourite hangout spot, America Street. GABF mourns death of Stanislaus Hadmon

The Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) was saddened yesterday morning by the news that former national player Stanislaus ‘Knox’ Hadmon had passed away. Hadmon, who also represented Eagles Basketball Club,  made a significant contribution to the sport in Guyana during the 1970s and `80s, according to president of the Guyana Amateyr Basketball Federation, David Patterson who expressed his condolences in a press release to Stabroek Sport yesterday. Hadmon was one of three Guyanese named on the CARICOM Basketball Team after the inaugural CARICOM Basketball Championships which Guyana hosted in 1981 and eventually placed third.
